A (non) cabaret for six dancers.
LaréduQ is a French portmanteau word meaning, among other things, “l’art éduque” (art educates), “la raie du cul” (ass crack), “l’art est du cul” (art is sex).
LaréduQ is a Cabaret (Voltaire & Rousseau), showing with humor that taboos of our bodies – sex, scatology, burps and farts, have always preoccupied artists.
LaréduQ is composed of “dansongs”, modules using the most immediate and simplest of tools: the sounds and movements of the body.
LaréduQ was originally a quartet shown as excerpts in 2008, and was reinvented as a septet in 2011.
