Regards théâtrop(s) et aperçus theorires sur le corps dansant
With the service of their bodies and their voices, using video and dramatic play, Thomas Lebrun and Foofwa d’Imobilité question the presentation of the dancing body. Where is the flesh and where is the movement? What is the flesh in motion? The answer is a night of two poles: a series of humorous theatrical vignettes on one side and pure and ‘exhilarating’ dance on the other…
“The performing dancer is not only a body but also a conscience: (S)he is a body-consciousness. The potential role of the performing dancer is to inspire the spectator of a body-consciousness to dream that the impossible is seemingly possible. The uniqueness of dance is precisely to make seemingly impossible dreams possible from one place: the body-consciousness. The producer and the production of dance from the same place? Yes, you now know; it is the body-consciousness of the performing dancer.”
